View shared files in Air Explorer

You can view all the files in all your cloud servers accounts from Air Explorer.
Also, you can view other accounts that are sharing something with you.


So, if you see any account that is not yours, remember that someone shared with you some files.

Protecting Air Explorer with a password

Air Explorer gives you the option to protect your program with a password.

Open the Options Window, check “Request a password when Air Explorer starts” and write the password.


Then, when you open the program, it will require a password.


Keep your password in a safe place. If you lose or forget the password, it can’t be recovered.

Mega in Air Explorer

Mega is a cloud storage and file hosting service included in Air Explorer.

This cloud has outstanding features that you can take advantage of them using Air Explorer.
The most important feature is that Mega offers you 50 GB of storage space for free.


With Mega, all files are encrypted locally before they are uploaded so your files will be more safe.

Remember that when you start Air Explorer, your Mega account loads slow because Air Explorer has to read all the files, but this allow you to browser the files faster.

Play your videos from your cloud servers with Air Explorer

Air Explorer allows to play video from your cloud servers.

Upload your videos to the cloud and watch them directly from the cloud.


Once you upload the video, select it and right click to open the menu and select “Play”.


Air Explorer will open your default video player to play the video.


Remember not all the cloud servers allow to play video directly.  These are the cloud servers that should work without problems: Google Drice, Box, Onedrive, Dropbox, Mediafire, Baidu and Yandex.

If your default video player does not play the videos, we recommend you to install VLC Media Player (

How to register in Opendrive and enjoy it in Air Explorer.

OpenDrive is a cloud storage that give you 5GB of free storage. Since OpenDrive can work with WebDav, you can include it in Air Explorer.

1-Enter in and click in “Sign up”.


2-Fill the gaps with your data.


You can find the address to the OpenDrive webdav in the OpenDrive web page.


3-Open Air Explorer and open the accounts window and choose WEBDAV.


4- Then, a window with a form opens. Fill it with your email, password and the OpenDrive WebDab server FOLDER (


Now, you can use the OpenDrive cloud in Air Explorer.


Use Air Explorer to upload files to Rapidgator

Rapidgator is not a complete cloud drive, it is just a file hosting site. But, Rapidgator allows to upload files by FTP, so you can use this feature with Air Explorer to upload your files to Rapidgator easily.

First you have to enter in your Rapidgator Account and visit “Upload file”, where you will find your login, password and the name of the Rapidgator server.



With this information, open Air Explorer and configure your Rapidgator FTP account.



Finally, you will have your Rapidgator FTP account available in your Air Explorer panel.


Have in mind that when you upload by FTP to Rapidgator, you can upload only to the root folder and once you have uploaded your files, you will not be able to view and modify them by FTP.

Work with 2 FTP accounts in Air Explorer

Air Explorer allows to work between two or more FTP accounts.

First, add your FTP accounts.

Once you have added the FTP accounts, you can open one FTP account in one side, and open in the other side the other FTP account.


You can paste, copy, drag&drop, between the two windows with FTP accounts.


How to import an export cloud accounts in Air Explorer

Import an export cloud accounts is possible in the new Air Explorer version.

Once you have added for the first time your cloud accounts, you can choose in the Accounts Windows the option to export the list of accounts. You will be asked for a file name to save the exported list and a password to protect it.



Once you save the accounts list, you can restore the list in the same or another computer.
