Cloud Mail.ru doesn't let other programs sign in with your normal password, so the first step is to create an app password in Mail.ru. How to download or move your Cloud Mail.ru files
- Download Air Explorer for Windows or Mac and open it.
- Create an app password in Mail.ru. In your Mail.ru security settings (id.mail.ru/security), create a password for external apps with full access to Mail, Cloud and Calendar.
- Add your Mail.ru account. In Accounts → Add account, choose Mail.ru and enter your email address and the app password.
- Open Mail.ru in one pane and a folder on your computer, or another cloud such as Google Drive, in the other.
- Drag the files or folders in either direction, or use Copy and Paste. You can follow each file in the task list at the bottom.

Is Cloud Mail.ru safe?
If you want to be sure that only you can read your files, encrypt them before they're uploaded. With Air Explorer Pro, files are encrypted on your computer, including their names, so Mail.ru only receives encrypted data. Only Air Explorer, with your password, can open them.

Mail.ru doesn't let other programs sign in with your normal password. You create an app password in id.mail.ru/security, and you can revoke it there at any time. Air Explorer stores it encrypted on your computer.
